Triumph Adds Devin Boyce to 2023 Roster

Greenville, SC – Nineteen-year-old, Zion Scarlett joins the Greenville Triumph Soccer Club for the 2024 season, pending league and federation approval. This young striker has participated in several competitions and leagues, including:


2018-2020 Philadelphia Union Academy U17 Team

2020-2021 Crew Academy U19 Team

2022 Concacaf U-20 Championship, Reggae Boyz U-20 squad

2022-2023 Columbus Crew 2

Scarlett has had a quick rise to the professional ranks since competing for his hometown club. In just six years the teenager has managed to sign his second professional contract. Before joining Crew Academy in 2020, Scarlett traveled to Brazil to play in four tournaments with the Philadelphia Union Academy. The striker then moved to the Crew’s U19 team from 2020-2021, eventually signing a season-long amateur agreement with Crew 2 for the MLS NEXT Pro season. As a result of his efforts, the skilled attacker signed his first professional contract with the team in May of 2022.

Just a month later, Scarlett received an international call-up from the Jamaican Under-20 National Team, joining the Reggae Boyz in the Concacaf Men’s U-20 Championship. He became the lone MLS NEXT Pro representative to find the back of the net in the group stage, scoring the opening goal in Jamaica’s 2-0 victory over Antigua and Barbuda. Scarlett’s finish helped the team make it to third place in Group H of the championship.

Scarlett joins 19 other players ahead the upcoming season, beginning on March 9th, against Spokane Velocity FC at Paladin Stadium in Greenville, SC.
