ABOUT THE CARDINALS

Friday’s showdown with Pitt will be the fourth match this season for the Cardinals against a team ranked inside the top 10. Louisville defeated No. 10 Saint Louis 3-1 in the season opener before one-goal losses to No. 5 Kentucky and No. 7 Duke.

SERIES HISTORY
Louisville is 5-1-0 all-time against Pitt heading into Friday’s match. The Cardinals won the first five meetings between the two programs, but the Panthers were victorious in the most recent meeting, a 4-1 Pitt victory in October of 2020.

Junior forward Aboubacar Camara has been one of the country’s best goal scorers throughout his collegiate career.

The junior forward struck again in the win at Florida Gulf Coast and is now tied with Tim Kubel (2014-17) for ninth on Louisville’s career scoring list. His next tally will tie him with Brian Whitman (1980-82) for eighth.
