Manchester United look ‘set to enter the race to sign Jude Bellingham’, with the midfielder’s fee expected to be ‘at least £110 million.’

The 19-year-old has become one of the most highly rated youngsters in world football after stellar performances for Borussia Dortmund and England in the past 12 months.

Liverpool feel they will have a good chance of signing Bellingham if they qualify for the Champions League next year, while Real Madrid have made contact with the young midfielder. Chelsea and Man City are also believed to be in the hunt.

It now looks as though another contender has joined, with the Telegraph reporting that United are ‘genuinely interested’ in the England star.

They also claim that, while Dortmund still hope to keep their star midfielder, they have set a minimum fee of ‘£110m’ for him.

A decision expected to be reached in the next few weeks, with a source telling the Telegraph ‘everything is open’ regarding the starlet’s future.

It means that if Bellingham does return to England, he will likely break the British transfer record set when Enzo Fernandez joined Chelsea for £107 million in January.

If he was to join Real Madrid, The midfielder would future-proof a side that has dominated European football for much of the past decade.

They already boast two of Europe’s most exciting young midfielders in Aurelien Tchouameni and Eduardo Camavinga, and in Bellingham could bring in another to replace the aging, but still brilliant, Luka Modric.

For Liverpool, their chances of bringing in the midfielder will likely hinge on where they finish in the league.
