HOUSTON – The Houston Dash and Space City Home Network (SCHN) today announced a broadcast agreement that will bring nine matches to the network this season. This is the third consecutive year in which the Dash has prioritized providing local broadcast options through the network.
“This is the most comprehensive local broadcast agreement for the Dash in recent years plus a fantastic opportunity to increase the reach and exposure of our world-class athletes,” Dash Chief Marketing Officer, SJ Luedtke said. “We also want to thank Space City Home Network for their collaboration on this initiative and commitment to the organization.”
Houston’s match against Utah Royals FC on Saturday, April 27 will be the first match to air on Space City Home Networks alternate channel. The broadcast schedule includes five matches from May 8 through June 7. The match on Sept. 21 when the Dash host Seattle Reign FC will air on delay following a previously scheduled game. Two matches will air live in October, beginning with the home match on Friday, Oct. 4 against the Chicago Red Stars followed by the match in Southern California on Sunday, Oct. 13 against the San Diego Wave. Each broadcast will feature the national talent available to fans around the country on NWSL +.
Space City Home Network is the television home of the Houston Astros and Houston Rockets in addition to airing locally relevant sports programming of all levels. SCHN is available in Texas, Louisiana, Arkansas, Oklahoma and certain New Mexico counties. To find SCHN in your area, a channel finder is available HERE .
This is the sixth agreement with a regional sports network for the Dash. AT&T SportsNet Southwest, now SCHN, aired Houston Dash matches during the 2022 and 2023 seasons. The first three seasons of Dash local broadcasts aired locally on previous iterations of the network, and nationally by the NWSL league broadcast partners.
This is the second local broadcast agreement the team signed with a local partner for the 2024 season. The Houston Dash announced a Spanish audio stream agreement with PTS Media on April 12 for all matches at Shell Energy Stadium.
