Harry Kane needs 61 more goals to become the all-time premier League top scorer

Rio Ferdinand thinks Harry Kane will STAY at Tottenham to chase the all-time Premier League goalscoring record – despite the £85m Spurs captain being linked with a sensational move to Man United

  • Harry Kane has 18 months remaining on his current Tottenham contract
  • He needs 61 more goals to become the top scorer in Premier League history
  • Rio Ferdinand thinks the striker’s main focus is now breaking the record

Rio Ferdinand believes Harry Kane will stay at Tottenham in pursuit of becoming the top scorer in the history of the Premier League.

Kane, who recently became Spurs’ record scorer, has just 18 months remaining on his current contract and is still yet to win a major trophy.

Only two players have managed more top flights goals than Kane’s 200, those being Wayne Rooney (208) and Alan Shearer (260).

Kane has been linked with a Tottenham exit multiple times over the past few seasons but he now looks settled once again and Ferdinand doesn’t see that changing.

‘If I’m a betting man, I’m going to say I reckon Harry Kane stays at Spurs and just goes, outright, for the goalscoring record,’ he told his YouTube channel.
