Defend 210: Toyota Field has become a fortress over the last few seasons, often toted as one of the toughest places to play in the league. San Antonio is 20-2-16 at home over the past three seasons. In 2023, SAFC had just one loss at home the whole year, as the offense bagged 34 goals over the course of the season with a +14 goal differential.

The Ones Who Hate to Lose: Under head coach Alen Marcina, SAFC is 14-1-6 in the first match back after a loss. The lone set of consecutive losses came in 2020, with SAFC going 13-0-6 since with a +21 goal differential. Last season, SAFC was 3-0-3 after a loss, with a +6 goal differential.

Golden Guy: The reigning USL Championship Golden Playmaker has picked up right where he left off last season. Jorge Hernandez has the most Team of the Week selections on the team this year with three in the first eight weeks. The midfielder leads the league in assists (4), chances created (28) and crosses (84). Hernandez is second in all-time assists for the club at 14, trailing only Justin Dhillon with 17. Last year, he led the league with 10 assists, setting a new SAFC single-season record, and was fifth in the league with 52 chances created.

All-time Series: San Antonio is undefeated against Oakland all-time, leading the series at 3-0-2. SAFC beat the Roots 3-1 at Toyota Field last March before a 2-2 draw on the road to close out the season series in 2023.
