Man Utd flop Aaron Wan-Bissaka “will move” in January as it is being reported that him leaving on loan is the most likely solution until the summer.
The defender has fallen down the pecking order this season following his sub-par from last term under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and Ralf Rangnick.
Erik ten Hag has preferred to use Diogo Dalot at right-back this season and the Portugal international has been one of United’s standout performers under the new head coach.
Wan-Bissaka looked likely to leave United in the summer but he ended up staying as they were unable to recruit a replacement.
The Red Devils currently have Luke Shaw and Tyrell Malacia to choose from at left-back and it is important for Ten Hag that he has two viable options on either side at full-back.
United have been linked with several right-backs over the past few months with Jeremie Frimpong and Denzel Dumfries reportedly among their targets.
With that, it is looking likely that Wan-Bissaka will move on in January. Crystal Palace, Wolves and West Ham are said to be interested in the defender.
TEAMtalk transfer insider Graeme Bailey is reporting that Wan-Bissaka “will move on loan” next month.
The report states that Ten Hag and the club are ‘hedging their bets’ with this deal as it gives them the option to bring back Wan-Bissaka if he shines at his next club.
Bailey also adds that the right-back’s former club Crystal Palace are “the most likely landing spot”.
“There is a real battle now to secure the signature of Aaron Wan-Bissaka,” Bailey told TEAMtalk.
“It is easy to forget he is a £50m defender but this could be the best thing to happen for him.
“He will move on loan and get the chance to play regular first-team football, something that will not be happening under Erik Ten Hag.
“Crystal Palace, his former club, have always looked the most likely landing spot and it is believed that remains the case as they do want him back at Selhurst Park.
“Wolves have made a real effort too, but it is hard for him to reject a move back to south London and United are allowing him to make the decision.”
Interestingly, Palace owner Steve Parish revealed earlier this month that they are likely to focus on loan signings in January.
