SEATTLE – The No. 2 Huskies continue Pac-12 play opening weekend when they travel to No. 21 UCLA on Sunday afternoon. Kickoff from Wallis Annenberg Stadium is set for 4 p.m. and airing on Pac-12 Network.
Washington (8-0-1, 1-0-0 Pac-12) opened conference action on Thursday night as San Diego State and came away with the 2-0 win over the Aztecs. Omar Grey and Lucas Meek recorded goals in the contest.
UW-UCLA HISTORY
UCLA leads the all-time series 32-22-3 over the Huskies. Washington has won the last seven meetings dating back to 10/25/18.
HUSKIES IN THE PAC-12 RANKINGS
The Huskies are holding it down at the top of the Pac-12 stats rankings. Chris Meyers is leading the charge at 0.78 assist per game and seven total assists.
Lucas Meek is leading the conference in game-winning goals (3), penalty kicks (1.000), total points (19) and points per game (2.11). Ilijah Paul is leading in goals per game (0.89), shot accuracy (0.696), shots on goal per game (1.78) and total goals (8).
As a team, Washington is leading in assists per game (3.11), corner kicks per game (8.00), goal differential (22), points per game (9.11), scoring offense (3.00), total assists (28), total goals (27) and win-loss-tied percentage (0.944).
UCLA SCOUTING REPORT
UCLA sits at 5-3-1, 1-1-1 Pac-12 on the season and ranked 21st in the nation by United Soccer Coaches and 14th by TopDrawerSoccer.
Constantinos Michaelides leads the team with three goals and seven points on the season. Tommy Silva had four assists. Nate Crockford has recorded 23 saves with nine goals allowed. Crockford is tied for the conference lead with four shutouts on the year.
ROAD DAWGS
The Huskies set a new program record with a 12-match unbeaten streak on the road following the 2-0 victory at San Diego State on Thursday night. Washington is 11-0-1 dating back to the 2021 season.
INDIVIDUAL RECOGNITION
Lucas Meek was named TopDrawerSoccer National Player of the Week following eight points over two matches against Seattle U and Grand Canyon. The senior midfielder notched three goals and two assists – which included his third career brace.
