Robert Lewandowski has spoken out over the ‘politics’ and ‘bulls***’ that clouded his final days as a Bayern Munich player.
The Poland striker joined Barcelona for £42.5million after the two clubs eventually reached an agreement.
Lewandowski is reported to have made clear his desire to join Barca at the end of last season but Bayern remained adamant that he was not for sale. Until he was.
Bayern, like everyone else, have since questioned where Barca are finding the funds for the summer spree before the Catalans hit back.
Barca president Joan Laporta said: “I would tell Bayern to look at their checking account, that important money has come in because of Lewandowski.
“What they do is distort reality. They have not calibrated the strength of Barça. To those who are surprised, I say that we are very awake.
“We are back on the market. The weight, strength and value of an entity with more than 122 years of history is a lot.”

Lewandowski has also criticised his former club for their behaviour around his exit.
In an interview with ESPN, the centre-forward denied that he was prompted to leave because of Bayern’s reported interest in Erling Haaland while accusing the Germans of not telling the truth.
“No, it was nothing to do with Erling,” he said. “I am the guy who even if something’s not good for me, the truth is more important. I don’t want to speak about what happened exactly. But if the question is if the decision to move was because of him, no, I didn’t see the problem if he joined Bayern Munich.
“But some people doesn’t say to me the truth, say something different,” he continued. “And for me it was always important to be clear, to stay true, and maybe for a few people that was the problem. And in the end I know that something doesn’t work well with my person as well and I knew that, OK I see and I feel that maybe it’s a good time to move out of Bayern Munich and join Barcelona.
“I had a very good relationship with my team-mates, with the staff, with the coach, and these are all things I’m going to miss because I spent a beautiful time there. And we were not only friends from the pitch but also something more. But in the end this chapter is over and I open a new chapter in my life and a new chapter in my career.
