West Ham target Gianluca Scamacca points directions to his team-mates

West Ham are set to sign Sassuolo striker Gianluca Scamacca with a medical scheduled for tomorrow, according to Sky Sports reporter Dharmesh Sheth.

Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano brought us the news last week that the Hammers had agreed a fee for the Italy international, while Scamacca was also happy with personal terms.

And now Sheth claims the 23-year-old will fly to London tonight before undergoing a medical tomorrow where he will sign a five-year deal.

Jeopardy is the warp and weft of football and the Premier League has sod all

Sheth told Sky Sports: “I’ve just had some breaking news on the Gianluca Scamacca deal, and that is West Ham have agreed personal terms with the Italian striker. The 23-year-old is now expected to fly into London tonight ahead of a medical tomorrow.

“The 29-year-old has, though, entered the final year of his contract with the Bundesliga side. Left-back has been a priority position this summer for [David] Moyes.”

And Sheth claims Blackburn Rovers forward Ben Brereton Diaz, Lille midfielder Amadou Onana and Napoli midfielder Piotr Zielinski are all other targets.

Sheth continued: “We understand Blackburn Rovers forward Ben Brereton Diaz is one of a number of players West Ham are looking at this summer.

“The Chile international has entered the final year of his contract at Ewood Park. The Championship side are thought to want around £15m for the 23-year-old.

“Brereton Diaz scored 22 goals in 37 Championship games last season.

“West Ham are in the market for other players as they pursue deals for Gianluca…
