Langley, BC – Vancouver will host Halifax Wanderers FC in their second match of the 2024 CPL season. Here is everything you need to know about the game, which kicks off at 7 p.m. PT in Langley, BC:

MATCH STORY: Vancouver FC are sitting at the top of the CPL standings after earning a 4-1 victory in Week 1 over Valour FC. All four goals came from different scorers including new VFC signings Moses Dyer, Paris Gee, and David Norman as well as the Eagles’ now all-time leader goalscorer, Gabriel Bitar. B.C.-born Gee also registered an assist in the last match which earned him the trifecta of CPL recognitions as Player of the Match, Team of the Week, and Player of the Week.

With only three days in between games, Vancouver has quickly shifted their sights from their home opener to their next opponent, Halifax, who are coming off a 0-1 loss to Pacific FC. Vancouver has an optimistic record against Halifax from their inaugural season, claiming the most overall points from any CPL team with seven and were 2-0-0 against Halifax at Willoughby Park last year.

Vancouver will be looking to close out their first homestand of 2024 by earning another three points to take with them on the road. After tonight’s match, VFC will begin their three-game road trip with a Canadian Championship clash against Cavalry FC which has the potential to produce the first Vancouver derby in history.
