KANSAS CITY – Canada Soccer has named its full roster for the ninth edition of the SheBelieves Cup April 6-9 in Atlanta, Georgia and Columbus, Ohio. Canada’s head coach Bev Priestman has named Kansas City Current midfielder Desiree Scott to the roster for the tournament.

Scott is one of the most senior veterans of Canada’s roster with 186 caps since 2010. Only three other players have more appearances for Canada than Scott. She has 144 starts for her country and been a part of three World Cups and helped Canada to Bronze Medals in 2012 and 2016, plus the Gold Medal in the Tokyo 2020 Olympics.

The 36-year-old midfielder was an original member of the NWSL in 2013 and an original member of the Kansas City Current in 2021 and played a critical role in helping the Current reach the NWSL Championship in 2022. Missing the 2023 season due to injury, Scott has been working relentlessly to get back on the field.

The SheBelieves Cup will kick off Saturday, April 6 with Canada playing Brazil at 2:30 p.m. CT at Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta, Georgia. Depending on the result, the tournament will conclude with Canada either playing the United States or Japan Tuesday, April 9.
