San Antonio FC News Release

SAN ANTONIO – San Antonio FC has added goalkeeper Brandon Gongora and midfielder Dalziel Ozuna to the roster on academy agreements, pending league and federation approval.

“We are delighted to announce the addition of Dazzy and Brandon to our first team through academy agreements,” said SAFC Head Coach Alen Marcina. “As a club, we remain steadfast in our commitment to nurturing the growth of our youth within the community, supporting their development as both individuals and players.”

Gongora and Ozuna join Gio Padilla, Eduardo Fernandez and Mateo Gonzales on academy agreements for 2024. Ozuna has been with the SAFC Pro Academy since 2018. In April 2023, he became the youngest player to debut in SAFC history, appearing in a USL Championship match against Monterey Bay F.C.

Gongora has played with the SAFC Pro Academy for four seasons. Last season at the USL Academy League Playoffs, Gongora made a decisive penalty kick save against El Paso to send SAFC to the quarterfinals.

SAFC hosts Colorado Springs Switchbacks FC Saturday, March 23 at Toyota Field. The match is set to kick off at 7:30 p.m. CT and will be broadcast on ESPN+. The 2024 SAFC season is presented by Toyota.
