Sidekicks Lose to Flash on Saturday Night for Noche Caliente

Sidekicks Fall to Strykers on Second Match of Weekend Doubleheader

Allen, Texas – The Dallas Sidekicks faced the Monterrey Flash for the second time this season at home on Saturday night.

52 seconds into the first quarter, Sidekicks goalkeeper, Parker Lackland, had a handball outside of the box which resulted in a blue card and penalty kick. Flash player, Edgar González took the penalty kick and scored. Less than a minute later, González scored again. At minute 6:45, Flash player, Jorge Luis Cortés scored making the score at the end of the quarter 0-3.


In the second quarter, the Flash added 4 goals to their lead within 10 minutes with goals scored by Jhon Ponce, Edgar González, Walter Ayoví, and Genaro Castillo. At 10:25, the Sidekicks scored their first goal of the game by David Texeira. Three minutes later, Genaro Castillo added one more to the Flash lead making the score at halftime 1-8.

In the third quarter, the Sidekicks switched goalkeeper, Parker Lackland for Juan Gamboa. Gamboa did not allow a Flash goal until 11 minutes into the quarter with a goal scored by Irvin Mojica. A minute later, the Flash scored again with a goal by Alan Crespo. Edgar Gonzalez scored the last two goals of the game. The final score was 1-12.
