Manchester United star's transfer situation to be discussed in coming weeks

The future of Manchester United winger Jadon Sancho will reportedly be the topic of conversation for the Red Devils and for his loan club Borussia Dortmund in the coming weeks, according to Fabrizio Romano.

Speaking on his YouTube channel, Romano provided an update on Sancho’s future, suggesting that it could be a complicated deal to keep an eye on this summer, even if Dortmund are ultimately keen to keep hold of the England international.

See the video clip below for details on Sancho’s situation, which could hinge on Dortmund qualifying for next season’s Champions League, making the deal more likely to be affordable for the Bundesliga giants…

However, according to Romano, it also remains to be seen when talks will even start, as Dortmund’s current focus is purely on ending the season strongly in the Bundesliga, as well, of course, as their upcoming Champions League semi-final tie with Paris Saint-Germain.

Sancho transfer: Should the United flop stay at Dortmund?

Jadon Sancho of Borussia Dortmund

Things haven’t worked out for Sancho at United, but he does seem to have shown flashes of his old self since returning to Dortmund for a second spell, so it perhaps seems a no-brainer for him to try everything he can to turn this into a permanent move.

It remains to be seen, however, if Sancho’s improvement in recent months could perhaps persuade United to recall him from his loan and give him another chance, especially since they’re now under new ownership and could perhaps even change manager soon, with current head coach Erik ten Hag badly struggling this season.

Sancho surely won’t play under Ten Hag again given the manner of his departure this season, but if a new regime is in place it could perhaps provide the perfect opportunity for the 24-year-old to try again to make it at Old Trafford.
