February 29, 2024 – Major League Soccer (MLS) News Release
NEW YORK – The Independent Review Panel, consisting of one representative from the U.S. Soccer Federation, one representative from the Canadian Soccer Association, and one independent representative nominated by the Professional Referee Organization, has rescinded the second yellow card issued to LA Galaxy’s Mark Delgado in the 87th minute of the Galaxy’s match against Inter Miami CF on Sunday, February 25.
Delgado is now eligible to play in the LA Galaxy’s next regular season game against the San Jose Earthquakes on Saturday, March 2.
Each club is entitled to two unsuccessful appeals per season, including the Audi MLS Cup Playoffs. Since the LA Galaxy’s appeal was successful, the club maintains its two unsuccessful appeals for the 2024 season.
