The craziest Jurgen Klopp statistics from his spell at Liverpool

Jurgen Klopp’s recent announcement shocked football fans across the world.

The Liverpool manager will step aside come the end of the season, bringing his incredible Anfield career to an end. The 56-year-old, who was appointed back in October 2015, has transformed the Reds and there won’t be a dry eye in the house when he walks out for his final home game of the season against Wolverhampton Wanderers.

While Liverpool have plenty of time to give him the perfect send-off – the Reds still participating in four different competitions this term – he has already managed some pretty sensational records on Merseyside.

While numbers don’t quite do his impact justice, here are the craziest statistics from Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool reign.

Klopp swiftly changed the atmosphere around Anfield upon his arrival by employing his high-energy, relentless football philosophy. However, while Liverpool fans were willing to be patient with the 56-year-old, he was quick to win over the crowd with results.

His methods quickly paid dividends and the former Borussia Dortmund manager has continued that success to this day.

Klopp currently boasts the highest win percentage of any Liverpool manager that has taken charge of over 50 matches, significantly surpassing the totals of club legends Bill Shankly, Bob Paisley and Kenny Dalglish.

The German has won 62.18% of his 468 matches at the helm, with the next closest being Dalglish with 58.53%.

There is an obvious correlation between Klopp’s impressive win percentage and his trophy cabinet. The former Mainz coach has amassed seven trophies during his eight-and-a-half years in England, with potentially more to come by the time of his departure.

Klopp has never won any trophy more than once during his Liverpool career, but has lifted the Premier League, Champions League, FA Cup, Carabao Cup, FIFA Club World Cup, UEFA Super Cup and Community Shield for the Reds.

As a result, he’s the only Liverpool manager to have ever won six different trophies – having actually triumphed in seven different competitions – and could add another new piece of silverware to his name should he win the Europa League this term.
