A Total of 19 Blue Devils Selected to All-ACC Academic Team


DURHAM – The ACC released the All-ACC Academic Team for women’s soccer Thursday with a total of 19 Duke student-athletes receiving honors. 
 
Earning accolades for the Blue Devils were Baleigh Bruster, Nicky Chico, Kati Druzina, Leah Freeman, Phoebe Goldthwaite, Maggie Graham, Katie Groff, Carina Lageyre, Devin Lynch, Olivia Migli, Mia Minestrella, Dieynaba Ndaw, Elle Piper, Kat Rader, Cameron Roller, Emily Royson, Julia Saunicheva and Grace Watkins.  Current Blue Devil freshman Mia Oliaro, who recently transferred from North Carolina to Duke was also honored. 
 
Wake Forest led the way with 19 honorees, while Duke and Louisville finished with 18 honorees.  Adding in Oliaro for the Blue Devils, it moved Duke’s number to 19. 
 
Academic requirements for selection to the All-ACC Academic Team are a 3.0-grade point average for the previous semester and a 3.0 cumulative average during one’s academic career. In addition, student-athletes must compete in at least 50 percent of their team’s contests.
 
The ACC Honor Roll, which recognizes all conference student-athletes with a grade point average of 3.0 for the current academic year, will be released in July.
