Erik ten Hag insists he is happy with his Manchester United squad going into the January transfer window, and is banking on injured players returning to strengthen his squad.
United are expecting a quiet window with the club’s focus on moving out fringe players like Jadon Sancho and Donny van de Beek.
However, a number of key players will be back in action including Casemiro, Lisandro Martinez, Mason Mount, Harry Maguire and Tyrell Malacia.
Asked about the possibility of new signings, Ten Hag said: ‘I am happy with the current squad. As we get our players back, we have a good squad.
‘A lot of the way it went in the first (half of the) season, the reasons behind it were because many players were not available.

‘I am sure when all players are on board it looks different – Casemiro, Martinez, Mount, we will be much stronger after the window.’
Ten Hag gave an injury update ahead of Saturday’s trip to West Ham – where Diogo Dalot will be suspended – and revealed that Victor Lindelof has had an operation that will rule him out for two weeks.
The Dutchman added: ‘We have some doubts, some illnesses, we will have to see who is available. Hopefully some will recover.
‘Casemiro and Martinez, so they are not available before Christmas. In January we expect them back. Mount is similar, into January. Harry Maguire I expect him early on.
‘Victor is not available. He has had surgery and he is out for a couple of weeks. He had a problem and needed surgery.
