Vancouver FC News Release

Langley, BC – Vancouver FC plays their first CPL regular season match against Cavalry FC at ATCO Field. Here is everything you need to know about the game, which kicks off at 6 p.m. PT in Calgary, AB:

MATCH STORY: Vancouver FC returns to ATCO Field for the second time in a week and a half to wrap up their first road trip of the 2024 season. The team made their previous visit to Calgary at the beginning of this trip for a Canadian Championship match against CAV before a pit stop at York United FC one week ago.

Vancouver is currently sitting fourth in the CPL table with six points in their first three games, recording two more points than the team earned in their first three games of 2023. VFC has also maintained a positive goal differential (currently sitting at +2) through their first three games, which was a position that the club was unable to achieve for the entirety of their inaugural season. VFC’s Paris Gee was also recognized today as the CPL’s Goal of the Month for April for his first career CPL goal in Vancouver’s home opener on Apr. 14.

Although coming off a difficult loss to York, the team is rested and recuperated to challenge Cavalry and earn their first road victory of 2024.
