Outlaws Get Revenge Ending Comets’ Winning Streak

Outlaws Fall to Savage in Chihuahua

MESQUITE, Texas – Texas Outlaws win 7-6 against the Kansas City Comets in Independence, Missouri, ending the Comet’s 4-game winning streak. The Outlaws are now 2-2-1 and the Comets are 4-1-0.

The game in Missouri started with a goal from the home team, the Comets, within 30 seconds of the game, scored by Ramone Palmer. The Outlaws tried to even up the score in the 3rd minute with 5 shots by both David Ortiz and Sebastian Mendez, all saved by Comet goalkeeper Phillip EJimadu. Finally, in the 6th minute of the quarter, Luiz Morales scored for the Outlaws, assisted by David Ortiz, tying the game at 1-1. In the 12th minute, Erik Macias got his second goal of the season. The Outlaws on top 2-1, going into the second quarter. Zach Reget got his first goal of the game in the second quarter in the 6th minute. Outlaws quickly countered a minute later with a goal for Uzi Tayou, assisted by Luiz Morales, putting the Outlaws on top again. Reget, assisted by Ignacio Flores, scored again for the Comets in the 12th minute of the quarter, tying the game up once again, now 3-3, going into the second half.


Henry Ramirez started the second half scoring for the Comets, with a goal in the first minute, assisted by Lucas Sosa, putting the Comets up 4-3. Luiz Morales got his second goal of the night in the 3rd minute, with an assist from David Ortiz, tying the game. The Outlaws gained the lead again in the 5th minute, with a goal from Stephen Gonzales, his second of the season. David Ortiz got his first goal of the game for the Outlaws in the 9th minute, assisted by Luiz Morales, putting the Outlaws up by 2. The third quarter ended with the Outlaws up 6-4. In the fourth quarter started with a goalie change for Kansas City and Cody Ellis from the Outlaws being sent to the penalty box with a yellow card for dissent, serving five minutes. The Comets scored in the 8th minute with a goal from Ramone Palmer, his second goal of the game. The Comets pulled goalkeeper Nicolau Neto going into the 13th minute. Comets with the sixth attacker, gave the Outlaws an opportunity for an empty netter goal in the 14th minute, scored by David Ortiz, his second goal of the game. With 15 second left in the game, the Comets scored, with a goal from Ignacio Flores. The Outlaws winning 7-6. Outlaws outshot the Comets 42-37.
