Man United ‘planning club-record bid for Benfica star Goncalo Ramos of up to £100m as part of a major summer rebuild at Old Trafford’… with Erik ten Hag also plotting move for Tottenham captain Harry Kane

  • Manchester United are targeting a move for Benfica striker Goncalo Ramos, 21
  • The Red Devils are believed to be willing to pay up to £100million for the star
  • Manager Erik ten Hag is also planning to sign star Tottenham forward Harry Kane

Manchester United are plotting a club-record offer for Benfica striker Goncalo Ramos this summer, according to reports.

United boss Erik ten Hag is said to be planning a major summer rebuild at Old Trafford.

Billionaires Sir Jim Ratcliffe and Qatari Sheikh Jassim bin Hamad al-Thani are vying to become the new owners of the Red Devils and could take over from the Glazers in time to finance Ten Hag’s ambitions.

With Anthony Martial’s lack of form and fitness, Wout Weghorst’s loan not set to be renewed and Marcus Rashford’s preference to play on the left, the Dutchman is keen to overhaul his ailing attack with Tottenham and England star Harry Kane.

And according to the Mirror, the Red Devils are planning to buy Ramos as well as their No 1 target Kane in the summer transfer window.
