Three Gator Soccer Grads this Weekend


GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Three Gator soccer players – Anna DeLeon, Julianne Leskauskas and Emily Yaple – receive degrees this weekend at University of Florida commencement ceremonies held in the Exactech Arena at the Stephen C. O’Connell Center.
 

 
About the Gators:
DeLeon has been a part of the Gator soccer program since the fall of 2020. DeLeon appeared in 54 matches and started all 16 appearances of the 2022 season. The defender’s turned in a goal in each of the last two seasons.
 
Leskauskas transferred to Florida after playing her freshman season at Rutgers. She scored six goals as a Gator and played in 50 matches, starting 27.
 
Yaple joined the Gators for the 2023 season after playing with Pittsburgh for three season. Her first Gator goal was a 20-yard strike to open the scoring versus Kentucky.
 
DeLeon earned a spot on the College Sports Communicators Academic All-District team as a junior and senior. She claimed Southeastern Conference Academic Honor Roll recognition each of the last three years and Leskauskas joined her the last two seasons.
 
The soccer players are among more than 90 Florida student-athletes who completed their degrees or certificates this spring. Yaple is one of nine Gators receiving master’s or doctorate degrees this weekend.
