– New York Red Bulls (2-1-3, 11 pts.) hold Chicago Fire FC II (2-3-1, 7 pts.) to a 0-0 draw at SeatGeek Stadium in Bridgeview, IL. New York won the shootout 3-0 and grabbed the second point in the standings.


– Frank Ssebufu, O’Vonte Mullings, and Henry Wise all converted from the spot to keep New York on top of the shootout.

– Goalkeeper AJ Marcucci tied his single match high in saves with seven on the night. The keeper had reached the seven save mark twice in his career, dating back to September and July of 2021.

– Marcucci leads MLS NEXT Pro in clean sheets with three and second in the league in saves with 23.

– Dylan Sullivan made the first professional start of his career for Red Bulls II, appearing in his fourth match overall this season.

– This is the first three-match span with clean sheets for New York since August of 2016, when Red Bulls II won four in a row while shutting out opponents.

– First three-match unbeaten streak for New York since September of 2021.

– New York has only allowed five goals in six matches, tied for fifth lowest in the league.
