Aston Villa striker Ollie Watkins celebrates his goal

Erik ten Hag has told Man Utd to ‘get me a striker’ as the club compiles a five-man shortlist, while Aston Villa star Ollie Watkins has been linked to Bayern Munich…

TEN HAG MAKES HIS DEMAND
Erik ten Hag is desperate to bring in a new striker in the summer transfer window with the club drawing up a five-man shortlist, according to reports.

The Red Devils still haven’t permanently replaced Cristiano Ronaldo after the Portugal international left the club at the end of November following a controversial interview with Piers Morgan.

Man Utd brought in Wout Weghorst on loan from Burnley in the January transfer window but the Netherlands international is unlikely to form part of Ten Hag’s long-term plans.

Man Utd ‘want to pair Kane and Marcus Rashford together next season’ and the Red Devils have drawn up a ‘five-man shortlist’ of other strikers they could sign,

“We have players who can play the role but definitely we need some offensive players who are impact and quality players.”

Watkins has been in red-hot form recently with the England international contributing 14 goals and six assists in 32 matches in the Premier League for Villa.

And that has not gone unnoticed in Germany with the Daily Mirror claiming Watkins has been ‘watched’ by Bayern Munich ‘as part of their search for a new striker this summer’.

The Daily Mirror adds: ‘New Bayern boss Thomas Tuchel has already identified the need for a new striker with Tottenham ’s England captain Kane also on the German giants’…
