Birmingham, AL – FC Tulsa draws 2-2 against Birmingham Legion FC to take home one point.

After playing some minutes last week, Forward Phillip Goodrum returned for FC Tulsa in his first start back after being out a few weeks with an injury. Goodrum played in his 100th USL-C match this evening and started it with a bang. Only 21 minutes into the match, Goodrum was served with the ball as he drilled around the Birmingham defender, setting one in and setting the tone for the first half.

Before the first half ended, Birmingham Legion FC had a chance to even out the score. The shot hit the right post as FC Tulsa Michael Creek slid in for the save.

In the first half, FC Tulsa controlled 51% of the ball with four shots and three of them being on target.

After multiple chances to score, Forward Stefan Stojanovic gave FC Tulsa the go-ahead as he took an assist from Arthur Rogers crossing the goal and laying one in.

FC Tulsa could breathe a sigh of relief after a crowd formed in front of their goal as Birmingham Legion was trying to get one in. A corner kick was taken from Forward Enzo Martínez which bounced around in front of the goal several times having one shot bouncing of the crossbar and another to be punched out by Creek

When the 70th minute hit, both sides had been controlling the ball 50% of the time. After Creek slid on the turf before taking a goal kick, the live ball was picked up and resulted in a free kick for Birmingham. The nerve-wrecking free kick was not enough for Birmingham to draw the game.

After 8 minutes of stoppage time was shown, Birmingham Legion FC scored the equalizer in 90+4. The equalizing goal came off a corner kick from Forward Tyler Pasher which was headed into the net as FC Tulsa Goalkeeper Michael Creek tried to insert himself for the save.

After a cardless first half, three cards were shown to each team. In the entirety of the match, Birmingham out shot FC Tulsa 20-9.
