Baltimore, Md. – The Baltimore Blast will travel to Florida to take on the Tropics in the first game of the playoffs. Baltimore (13-8-3) entered the playoffs as the No. 2 seed, while Florida (12-7-5) earned the No. 3 seed.
Game One of the series will be Friday, April 7, at 7:05 p.m. in Florida. After the game, both teams will travel north to play in Baltimore. The second game will be held on Saturday, April 8, at 6:05 p.m. at SECU Arena in Towson.
If the teams split the first two games, a mini-game will be immediately following Game 2. The mini-game features a 15-minute quarter. If a team is ahead after 15 minutes, that team advances. If the teams are still tied, the game moves to a 10-minute sudden-death period where the first team to score advances to the semifinals.
The Blast and Tropics met three times this season, with Florida taking two of the three matchups. The last time the teams played each other was in December. Coming into the matchup, Baltimore is on a one-game losing streak, while Florida boasts two-straight wins.
