‘Next’ Bellingham in ‘attractive situation’ emerges as midfield ‘alternative’ for Klopp

Liverpool target Fofana

Liverpool have been told that they should ‘turn their attention towards’ AC Monaco midfielder Youssouf Fofana if they fail to sign Jude Bellingham.

It has been widely reported in recent months that Bellingham is Liverpool’s preferred midfield target ahead of this summer.

The 19-year-old is among the best young players in the world and this was never going to be an easy transfer to complete amid competition from Manchester City and Real Madrid.

Bellingham is under contract until 2025 and it has been reported that he is valued at around £130m. The Bundesliga club’s financial demands have decreased Liverpool’s chances of signing the midfielder this summer.

Liverpool supporters will no doubt be gutted if they miss out on Bellingham, who is attracting serious interest from Real Madrid.

The Spanish giants recently beat Liverpool to sign Aurelien Tchouameni. Johnson has also explained how his move to Madrid was completed under the noses of the Premier League club.

‘As for Real Madrid’s Aurelien Tchouameni and why Liverpool were unable to sign him last summer, the Frenchman’s replacement was ready and waiting at Monaco which enabled the principality club to move him on for a big sum and that is exactly what they did,’ Johnson…
