10 mindblowing stats that show Marcus Rashford is in Ballon d'Or territory

Marcus Rashford just keeps on scoring. The Manchester United forward kept up his remarkable run of form with two goals in their 3-0 victory over Leicester City on Sunday afternoon.

There’s a strong argument that Rashford is the best player in the world on current form, especially when you look at the mindblowing numbers behind his performances.

With Rashford in this kind of form, might United actually be viable candidates for the Premier League title? The latest victory takes Erik ten Hag’s side to within five points of league leaders Arsenal.

“It was a good goal, once again a great pass from Bruno [Fernandes], great goal from Rashy [Marcus Rashford] and then we are 1-0 up. The second half was all us and Bruno Fernandes played a magnificent game,” Ten Hag told BBC Sport.

“It’s still early in the season, we’re fighting for a lot of different things and we have another big game in the week to hopefully go through to the next round of the Europa League and then a massive game for us [against Newcastle in the Carabao Cup final].

“I don’t feel like slowing down and always want to improve.”

Here are 10 stats that sum up quite how brilliant Rashford has been of late:

– Rashford has scored 16 goals in 17 appearances in all competitions since the World Cup.

– That’s seven more than any other player in Europe’s major leagues since the World Cup. To put it in context, Chelsea have only scored six goals in total over the same period. Graham Potter’s Blues have scored half as many Premier League goals (four) as Rashford (eight) since the season resumed in December.

– PSG’s front three of…
