PSG team news

A big blow for PSG is the absence of star forward Kylian Mbappe, who is facing a race to be fit in time for the Champions League last 16 tie with Bayern Munich later in February.

The squad is stretched elsewhere for Christophe Galtier, with Sergio Ramos likely to be omitted and Marco Verratti still suspended. Neymar also has a groin problem and won’t start training until early next week.

Centre back Presnel Kimpembe is back in training but may not be risked in the starting XI after recovering from an Achilles problem.

PSG predicted lineup (4-2-3-1): Donnarumma; Hakimi, Marquinhos, Pereira, Bernat; Sanches, Soler, Vitinha; Ruiz; Messi, Eikitike.

Toulouse team news

Toulouse have been in excellent form in recent weeks and few changes to the starting XI are expected from manager Philippe Montanier.

Midfielder Branco van den Boomen grabbed two assists and netted a penalty in the 4-1 victory over Troyes on Wednesday and should start again here alongside club top scorer this season Thijs Dallinga, who has seven Ligue 1 goals.

Toulouse predicted lineup (4-3-3): Dupe; Desler, Rouault, Nicolaisen, Suazo; Dejaegere, Spierings, Boomen; Chaibi, Dallinga, ratao.

This is a much tougher than PSG would like to face this weekend. with Toulouse winning four of their last five Ligue 1 games having lost four previous four in a row.

With such injuries and absences to contend with, PSG need a convincing performance given their lead at the top of the table is not as insurmountable as usual.

Dropped points on Saturday would give Marseille and Lens the opportunity to gain some ground later in the weekend. Toulouse will undoubtedly cause the hosts problems and could leave France’s capital with a point.

Prediction: PSG 2-2 Toulouse
