Barcelona are in league action on Sunday

Barcelona will look to maintain their lead at the top of the La Liga table when they host Sevilla on Sunday.

The Blaugrana are five points clear of arch-rivals Real Madrid but with half the season still remaining, they cannot afford to take their foot off the gas.

Sevilla, meanwhile, have finally started climbing the table after winning three of their last four La Liga matches, but still sit 13th and some distance away from the European places.

Barcelona team news

Ousmane Dembele picked up a thigh strain against Girona last week and is now expected to be out until at least the end of February. However, Barça have no further injuries or suspensions to worry about.

Barcelona starting XI (4-3-3): Ter Stegen; Kounde, Christensen, Garcia, Alba; Busquets, De Jong, Pedri; Raphinha, Lewandowski, Gavi.

Sevilla team news

Sevilla have a number of absentees with Marcao and Marko Dmitrovic both out with muscle injuries, while Alex Telles is suffering with a knee problem. They join Jesus Corona and Jesus Navas on the treatment table.

Sevilla starting XI (4-2-3-1): Bounou; Montiel, Gudelj, Nianzou, Acuna; Delaney, Rakitic; Jordan, Torres, Lamela; En-Nesyri.

Barça have been relentless in recent months and head into this match looking for a tenth straight win across all competitions. Dembele aside, Xavi has a fully fit squad to choose from, home advantage, and all the momentum he could hope for.

Sevilla are picking up some decent form at last and even when struggling, are a formidable opponent. However, they just won’t have enough away to match Barcelona – a team they’ve lost four of their last five games against.

Prediction: Barcelona 2-0 Sevilla
