Sidekicks Fall Short After Dramatic Overtime

Sidekicks Fall to Strykers on Second Match of Weekend Doubleheader

Allen, Texas – The Dallas Sidekicks faced the Outlaws on Sunday after their loss to them on Saturday night.

The first quarter of the game was very slow with no goals. However, the Outlaws only had 7 shots on goal and the Sidekicks had 4 shots.


36 seconds into the second quarter, Outlaws player, David Ortiz scored. Two minutes later, Outlaws player, Axel Chakounte added another goal to the scoring sheet. Sidekicks answered back by scoring a goal at the 7:56 minute mark which was scored by Albert Rodriguez. At the 9:20 minute mark, Brenden Lee from the Outlaws scored. Sidekicks player, Bradlee Baladez ended the scoring sheet at the quarter by scoring a goal at the 10:29 minute mark.

Going into the third quarter, the score was 2-3. The Sidekicks kept together defensively after only allowing one goal by the Outlaws. That goal was scored by Brenden Lee at the 10:06-minute mark. The score at the end of the third quarter the score was 2-4.

The fourth quarter was dominated by the Sidekicks. Felipe De Sousa from the Sidekicks scored early in the quarter. Sidekicks player Anthony Powell tied the game up by scoring a goal at the 6:21 minute mark. At the end of regulation, the score was 4-4.

In overtime, neither side scored during the golden goal which led the game to go to a penalty shootout.

The Sidekicks lost the game during the penalty shootout.
