MONTREAL – CF Montréal announced Thursday that goalkeeper James Pantemis has agreed to a new contract for the 2023 season, with two option years in 2024 and 2025.

He has since played a total of 36 games with the first team in all competitions, keeping a record of 17 wins, 11 losses and eight draws, including nine clean sheets, for a goal-against average of 1.47.

The Montreal native joined the Academy’s U-18 team in 2014 from Lakeshore Soccer Club. He signed his first professional contract in November 2017.

On the international stage, Pantemis regularly takes part in senior Canadian national team camps since 2017. He was recently part of the squad that participated in the FIFA World Cup in Qatar.
