EVANSTON, Ill. –– Northwestern men’s soccer welcomed the addition of eight new Wildcats in November, head coach Russell Payne announced.

Incoming first-years include Jude Bosshardt (San Antonio, Texas), Gregory Cook (Las Vegas, Nev.), Ty Glassberg (Melville, N.Y.), Bryant Mayer (Owings Mills, Md.), Owen Noverr (Littleton, Co.), Kai Reis (Coopersburg, Pa.), James Spatzek (Glencoe, Ill.), and Fritz Volmar (Peoria, Ill.).

Jude Bosshardt | San Antonio, Texas | George Washington University Online High School

High School: Attended CAST Tech before enrolling in George Washington University Online High School for his Senior year…Participated in National Honor Society.

 

Club: Played for San Antonio FC, making his first team debut in 2022 in a friendly against Atletico San Luis from Liga MX…Played with San Antonio FC MLS Next and USL Academy teams since the club’s inception in 2016.

Personal: Son of Fred and Sylvia Bosshardt …Father was a skeet shooter at the collegiate level…Chose Northwestern over Dayton…Born Jude Paul Bosshardt in San Antonio on 11/20/2004…Intends to study Economics at Northwestern.

Gregory Cook | Las Vegas, Nev. | Nevada Learning Academy

High School: Nevada Learning Academy in Las Vegas…Named valedictorian.

 

Club: Played for Downtown Las Vegas Soccer Club, where he won a regional championship…Won a national championship with New England Revolution U19…Signed with New England Revolution II.

Personal: Born Gregory Alexander Cook in Las Vegas on 01/02/2004.

Ty Glassberg | Melville, N.Y. | Half Hollow Hills HS East

High School: Half Hollow Hills HS East in Dix Hills, New York. 

 

Club: Played for NYCFC Academy teams before playing for Queensboro FC…Was rated a three-star recruit by Top Drawer Soccer.

Personal: Son of Michele and Ryan Glassberg…Chose Northwestern over Pitt…Born Tyler Reid Glassberg in New York City on 04/12/2005…Anticipated major is Communications Studies.

Bryant Mayer | Owings Mills, Md. | McDonogh School

High School: McDonogh School in Owings Mills, Md…Played two years of varsity soccer and was named a captain both years…Tallied three goals and five assists his junior year before missing his senior season due to injury…Captained the 2021 team that set the school’s single-season win record and finished as MIAA Runners Up…Was named…
