TUCSON, Ariz.Zoe Hasenauer broke the school record for career assists but Oregon fell to Arizona, 4-1, Sunday at Mulcahy Stadium.

Hasenauer established the new standard for the Ducks by assisting Kaitlyn Paculba’s goal in the 39th minute. Hasenauer received a pass down the right side from Ajanae Respass. She then shook her defender with a fake to the right and then juked back to the left which created an open lane into the box. Hasenauer then lofted a left-footed cross to the far post that Paculba headed home for the record.

It was the 19th career assist for Hasenauer, who came into the match tied with Jen Stoltenberg, who had 18 assists from 2007-10.

How it Happened: The Wildcats (8-6-3, 5-4-1) scored the first two goals of the game in the 21st and 33rd minutes.

Paculba got the Ducks (4-8-6, 2-6-2) back into it at 2-1 just before halftime with her first goal of the season.

Arizona pushed its lead back to two goals with a score in the 50th minute and added one more in the final minutes.

Notable: In addition to the assists record, Hasenauer moved into third in career shots on Sunday. With four against the Wildcats, the fifth-year senior passed Teresa Bowns (180, 2006-09) with 181. … Paculba’s goal was the third of her career. … Oregon regained the services of outside back Chai Cortez, who had to sit out Thursday’s match at Arizona State after receiving a second-yellow red card Oct. 23 versus California. … The Ducks played without starting goalkeeper Leah Freeman who was unavailable due to Covid-19 protocols.

Up Next: Oregon closes out the 2022 season by hosting Oregon State Friday at 7 p.m. (Pac-12 Networks).
