Today’s profile takes us to one of our newest players. Andres Almao played for the Reserves over the last few seasons but had his MASL debut last year during the homestand against the St. Louis Ambush. Please take a few moments to learn a little bit more about Andres Almao.


for the upcoming season you changed your number to 47, why #47?

I wear number 47 because it is a number I have had since I was a kid, and it brings me good luck

How are you getting ready during the offseason?

I have been going to the gym as much as possible, started a new healthy eating plan and daily outdoor runs.

WHAT are you looking forward to seeing from the Stars this upcoming season?

I am looking forward to seeing the accesso ShoWare Center packed with our fans and making the playoffs this season.

Who are you anticipating making the next big jump for the Tacoma Stars?

I anticipate Kyle Rivers to make the big jump, I have seen growth in his game, and I am excited for him.

What have been some of your favorite moments in your soccer career?

Playing at a first division stadium in Venezula, going undefeated in 50 games during the 2019 season with my Club America Seattle (outdoor team) and of course making my MASL debut at home against the St Louis Ambush last year.
