LOS ANGELES (Saturday, Aug. 20, 2022) – Down 1-0 entering the second half, LA Galaxy II fought back to earn a 1-1 draw against the Charleston Battery at Dignity Health Sports Park on Saturday night.
Goal-Scoring Plays
CHS – Patrick Hogan (Robbie Crawford), 35th minute: Patrick Hogan headed in Robbie Crawford’s corner-kick service from close range.
LA – Josh Drack, 83rd minute: Joshua Drack’s free-kick attempt from just outside the 18-yard box was curled into the upper left corner of the goal.
Postgame Notes
Following the draw against New Mexico United, LA Galaxy II (9-11-6, 33 points) remained in eighth place in the Western Conference standings, one point behind seventh-place El Paso Locomotive FC (9-11-7, 34 points).
Galaxy II improved to 6-3-3 in 12 matches played at home during the 2022 campaign.
LA attempted a season-high 23 shots in the draw against Charleston, forcing the Battery goalkeeper into making 10 saves.
Josh Drack converted his third free-kick goal of the 2022 USL Championship campaign, which ranks tied for first in the league in that category.
Preston Judd attempted a season-high nine shots and six shots on target in the draw against the Battery. Judd’s nine shots and six shots on target rank tied for the second-most in a single match during the 2022 USL Championship Regular Season.
Owen Lambe logged a game-high five interceptions and nine possessions won.
In 21 minutes played off the bench, Michael Salazar registered a game-high four chances created.
