Ally McCoist delivers big Manchester City vs Liverpool title verdict

Ally McCoist believes Manchester City will come out on top against Liverpool on Sunday and take a major step towards retaining the Premier League title.

The Liverpool vs Man City debate has raged all season and we won’t have to wait long to find an answer. Liverpool are preparing to travel to face City at their Etihad Stadium this weekend in a Premier League showdown that could decide the title.

English football’s big two will then meet in an FA Cup semi-final at Wembley a week later, while they could also face off in the Champions League final in Paris in May.

Now former Scotland striker McCoist has given TEAMtalk his verdict on the clash that will bring the football world to a halt. And he believes City will come out on top.

Liverpool will pull clear of City at the top of the Premier League table and will move into pole position to win the title if they can beat Pep Guardiola’s title favourites in Manchester. But ex-Rangers striker McCoist believes Jurgen Klopp’s men will come up short.

“The talent in Liverpool and Manchester City is as high as I can ever remember. And this is a difficult one to call,” McCoist told us exclusively as he promoted the National Lottery Football Weekends campaign.

“I’m leaning towards Man City because of home advantage in the game.

“I know Liverpool are on a great run and like all good sides, they are finding a way to win games when they are not at their best.
