Liverpool are set to enjoy an exciting 2024/25 season with new manager Arne Slot at the helm, and may rely on some younger stars to bring them success.

Slot had big boots to fill when he stepped up to replace Jurgen Klopp this summer, and so far his time with the Reds has been commendable. However, the Dutchman still has the Premier League campaign in front of him, and must impress against the big teams if he is to cement his place on Merseyside.

17-year-old Trey Nyoni was one of Liverpool’s most impressive stars during their 4-1 win over Sevilla in pre-season. The youngster impressed from the moment he arrived onto the pitch in the second half, and found the back of the net just minutes after.

His beautiful shot towards The Kop end marked his first senior goal for Liverpool – ensuring a bright future ahead for the Merseyside talent. He was one of the many Reds youngsters called upon by Jurgen Klopp last season – and became the club’s youngest ever player to feature in the FA Cup.

The teenager is undoubtedly one of the most exciting prospects at Anfield, and this could be the season where he is given the chance to prosper.

Conor Bradley

After showing some of what he can do last season, Conor Bradley has said he is prepared to fight for Trent Alexander-Arnold’s right-back position – and this will be the campaign to step up and prove it.

The 21-year-old made 11 appearances in the Premier League last season. But now, with Slot in charge, Bradley has a new opportunity to impress and push himself into the team’s backline.

The Northern Ireland international is very talented, and given the chance to play in more of an advanced role under the new coach, he may also rack up goals and assists this season.

Stefan Bajcetic

Stefan Bajcetic began to establish himself as a first-team player during the 2022/23 season, but struggled to make an impact last term due to a long-term injury.

His rise was meteoric – playing in the club’s youth sides before stepping up to the senior squad in 2022 aged 17. If the Spanish star is fit, he will have a huge role to play at Liverpool.
