Greenville Triumph SC News Release

Greenville, SC – Two months into the season, Greenville Triumph SC has added another player between the sticks for the 2024. Kaleb Porcoro, an Eastside senior and member of the Carolina Elite Soccer Academy (CESA), will add his name to the roster of Greenville’s professional soccer team while still in high school. The academy contract allows USL professional clubs to provide a pathway for elite youth players in a club’s territory without affecting the player’s future NCAA eligibility.

Porcoro has been training with fellow goalkeepers, Christian Garner and Gunther Rankenburg since Greenville began preseason in early February. The Greenville native settled into the club’s academy program easily under Triumph Goalkeeping Coach, Choco Villegas, who is also Director of Goalkeeping at CESA. In Porcoro’s young career he has already achieved a National Championship title with his club soccer team, won the SC AAAA State Championship in 2022, and reached the semifinals with Eastside in 2023. He was also named to the North-South All-Star Game for 2024 as high school soccer enters postseason.

Porcoro marks Greenville’s sixth academy contract overall and second this season, following Anthony Grudko. Porcoro will be available for selection beginning this weekend in the match versus the Richmond Kickers.
