Domi Richardson Announced as Inaugural Signing of Tampa Bay Sun FC


COLUMBIA, Mo. – University of Missouri soccer alumni Domi Richardson has been signed by Tampa Bay Sun FC of the USL Super League as announced by the professional organization on Wednesday.

Richardson a two-time all-conference athlete and a four-year Tiger starter from 2010-13 tallied 17 goals and 42 points in her collegiate tenure.

“I love this game and am looking forward to building with this historic team and league,” Richardson said. “Soccer is my passion and can’t wait to make an impact on and off the field.”

One of the program’s most decorated alum, Richardson was named to the 2012 NSCAA All-South Region Second Team and to the 2010 Big 12 All-Newcomer Team. In 2012, she represented the United States on the U-20 National Team.

Richardson began her professional career with the Houston Dash in 2014 before signing with FC Kansas City (2015), NJ/NY Gotham FC (2016-22). She made 42 appearances across six seasons for Gotham.

The former Tiger is one of the first ever signings for Bay Sun along with Erika Tymrak and Jordyn Listro.

Tampa Bay Sun FC is a professional women’s soccer in the USL Super League, a new Division I league operated by the United Soccer League.

The USL Super League will play on the “fall-to-summer” soccer calendar traditionally followed around the world, ensuring players are able to represent both club and country and allowing clubs to actively participate in the emerging global women’s transfer market.
