Wolves vs Arsenal: Preview, predictions and lineups

Rayan Ait-Nouri

Arsenal’s 2023/24 campaign is on the line at Molineux on Saturday as they travel to Wolverhampton Wanderers with the aim of returning to the top of the Premier League table.

A wretched eight-days amid another potential April collapse saw Mikel Arteta’s side lose at home to Aston Villa before their Champions League exit at the hands of Bayern Munich.

They’re just two points adrift of Manchester City at the Premier League’s summit, but the prevailing feeling is that only six wins from six will do if they’re to claim their first league title in 20 years.

Wolves have struggled to recover from their dramatic FA Cup quarter-final defeat to Coventry, with Gary O’Neil’s side failing to win their four previous Premier League outings. A respectable mid-table finish is in the offing, with their recent demise hindering their chances of making a push one of the European spots.

Here’s 90min’s preview of Saturday’s Premier League clash at Molineux.

Wolves are crucially still without Pedro Neto, who’s struggled with injuries again this season. The electric winger could return at some point next month, however.

Rayan Ait-Nouri is a doubt with a calf injury after he missed last weekend’s draw at Nottingham Forest. Jean-Ricner Bellegarde is also nursing an ankle injury.

Craig Dawson could miss out with a groin problem. He was an unused substitute at the City Ground.

Wolves predicted lineup vs Arsenal (3-5-2): Sa; Kilman, Dawson, Toti; Semedo, Lemina, Gomes, Doyle, Ait-Nouri; Cunha, Hwang.

Arsenal remain healthy on the injury front, although a packed schedule means Arteta will have to make a few changes from the side that started in Munich.
