Spring has sprung and Werner Park is ready to open its doors for another season of high-flying Owls soccer! We’re welcoming El Paso Locomotive FC of USL Championship for a Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup Third Round faceoff tonight at 7pm. Parking lots will open at 4pm, followed by gates at 6pm.

PREVIEW: EL PASO LOCOMOTIVE FC
These teams are a league apart this year, both literally and figuratively. Union Omaha is four for four in all competitions, winning two matches each in League One and the U.S. Open Cup. Meanwhile, El Paso enters the cup winless in 2024, with only an early draw to Monterey Bay FC as a result to point at. Not just that, but El Paso are still looking for their first ever Open Cup win; they’re 0-3 in the competition, with all three losses coming to USL League One sides. Union Omaha’s 7-2 record, by comparison, is only marred by MLS clubs.
The cup overfloweth with storylines this match. It all starts with Head Coach Dominic Casciato, who worked as an assistant there in Texas for two years. He then took the head coaching gig in Omaha… and immediately beat his old team in the Cup. Now he’s brought in two former El Paso players in Haitian international Mechack Jérôme and all-time Locomotive appearance leader Aarón Gómez, both of whom will be looking to keep their old side from gaining a measure of revenge after last year’s 2-0 win for the Owls at Morrison Stadium.

Union Omaha ticketing is now 100% a digital experience. You can access and manage your tickets through your Account Manager on your smartphone or via the Union Omaha Mobile App. Screenshots of tickets will not be accepted.
The Ticket Box Office will open at 12 p.m. and is the only place where fans can get printed tickets.
UPDATED BAG POLICY
Werner Park will enforce a Clear Bag Policy to expedite your stadium entry experience and reduce security screening interactions.
One clear bag – either a one-gallon Ziploc style bag or the 12â³ by 6â³ by 12â³ clear plastic, vinyl, or PVC bag – plus a small clutch approximately 4.5â³ x 6.5â³ in size.
Exceptions will be made for medically necessary items and/or diaper bags after proper inspection and screening.
Guests can carry in blankets and jackets as long as they are readily available for screening at entry.
Guest are also allowed to bring in an empty or sealed water bottle.
