STATESBORO, Ga. – South Georgia Tormenta FC will host the Savannah Clovers on Wednesday, April 3, in the second round of the 109th edition of the Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup. The iconic pairing marks the first time in history that the two professional teams go head-to-head. This second-round battle will be a spectacle of skill, passion, and Lowcountry pride from the two teams.

Conor Doyle, Niall Watson, and Mason Tunbridge scored in Tormenta’s win.

Doyle and Watson’s goals were nominated for USL League One Goal of the Week.

Doyle, Watson, Ford Parker, and Ajmeer Spengler received USL League One Team of the Week honors for the win.

Head Coach Ian Cameron was named the USL League One Coach of the Week for week three.

Three players have recently returned from playing for their national teams: Callum Stretch (Puerto Rico), Joshua Ramos (U.S. Virgin Islands), and Jackson Khoury (Lebanon).
