David Moyes is reportedly set to rekindle his attempts to sign Manchester United defender Harry Maguire

West Ham had come close to signing the 31-year-old defender last summer, having agreed a £30million deal with the London club to sign the England defender.

That move never materialised, with the centre back, who was stripped of the captain’s armband last season, angling for a £7m pay-off from the Hammers to leave the club.

Maguire will be out of contract at Old Trafford in June 2025 and The Sun claim Moyes is ‘keen to bring in a defender who can win headers‘ and could ‘offer him a two or three year deal’.

Maguire, who has endured a tough few seasons at United amid a lack of game time, has featured in 23 matches for the Red Devils so far this season, scoring in their 2-1 defeat by Fulham in February.
