Chelsea could look to offload MORE players to Saudi Arabia this summer, as Todd Boehly holds meeting with Saudi Pro League director of football Michael Emenalo

Chelsea could be set for a summer of dealings with Saudi Arabia after it emerged the club’s chairman Todd Boehly met with Michael Emenalo during a recent visit to the capital of the Middle Eastern country.

Emenalo is the Saudi Pro League’s director of football, having previously held a position in the Chelsea boardroom. 

The meeting, which was understood to have been held in Riyadh in the last fortnight, will only add to speculation that the club are looking to offload players to Saudi.

Riyadh Air have also been linked with becoming the club’s new shirt sponsor for next season.

Chelsea sold Kalidou Koulibaly and Edouard Mendy to Al-Hilal and Al-Ahli last summer to raise £33million, while N’Golo Kante joined Al-Ittihad on a free.

Chelsea could look to offload several stars this summer, including Romelu Lukaku, Kepa Arrizabalaga, Armando Broja, Trevoh Chalobah, Marc Cucurella and Raheem Sterling. 

Conor Gallagher is set to be the subject of interest from rivals if the club cannot tie him down to a new deal.

Chelsea insiders maintain they are not worried about passing the Premier League’s Profit and Sustainability Rules this summer. 

They are frustrated by the outside focus on their spending, one pointing out that Monday’s win over Newcastle was inspired by players signed for more modest amounts, including Nicolas Jackson (£32m), Cole Palmer (£42.5m) and Malo Gusto (£26m).

Meanwhile, Infinite Athlete signed a £40m deal with Chelsea in September after the club started this season without a shirt sponsor.
