Minnesota United Signs MLS SuperDraft 2024 Pick Morris Duggan

GOLDEN VALLEY, Minn. – Minnesota United announced today that the club has signed defender Morris Duggan to a one-year deal, with club options for 2025, 2026 and 2027. Duggan will join the Loons pending receipt of his P-1 Visa and ITC.


MNUFC selected Morris Duggan with the 67th overall pick of the MLS SuperDraft 2024. After joining Marshall University’s team in 2022, the Munich, Germany native became a mainstay in the Herd defense. As a junior, Duggan appeared and started in all 19 of Marshall’s matches, totaling 1,558 minutes. In 2023, he was named captain and was part of a defense that had the most shutouts (11) during a single-season.

His performances earned him the league’s Defensive Player of the Year award and First-Team All-Conference honors. Across his 37 total matches played with the Herd, the 23-year-old has scored three goals and provided two assists. He was recently named a MAC Hermann Trophy Semifinalist, alongside teammate Matthew Bell (Real Salt Lake).
