Huntsville City FC Announces Auburn University at Montgomery as Final Opponent of 2024 Preseason

Huntsville, Ala. – Huntsville City Football Club announced today that the team will conclude its 2024 preseason training with a match against Auburn University at Montgomery’s Men’s Varsity Soccer Team on Saturday, March 9 at 2 p.m. CT at the Loretta Spencer Soccer Complex (2151 Airport Rd. SW, Huntsville, AL 35801).

Huntsville City FC Season Ticket Members will have free access to the final preseason game. Tickets for the general public can be purchased here. Fans can become season ticket members by visiting MLSNextPro.com/HuntsvilleCityFC/Tickets or by calling 256-864-6426, ext. 2.

“We are thrilled to add the Auburn University at Montgomery Warhawks to our preseason schedule in the Rocket City,” said Chad Emerson, Managing Director of Business Operations for Huntsville City FC. “We welcome fans to join us at the John Hunt State Championship Soccer Stadium for one last chance to see the Boys in Blue prepare for the 2024 MLS NEXT Pro season against one of last season’s Gulf South Conference semifinalists.”

Before the club plays AUM, the Boys in Blue will play two closed-door matches at Wicks Family Field at Joe Davis Stadium against Birmingham Legion on Saturday, March 24 and Atlanta United 2 on Friday, March 8. The club will also spend a week at the IMG Academy in Bradenton, Fla. to train for the upcoming season. During that trip, Huntsville will face off with USL Championship’s Tampa Bay Rowdies in a closed-door match on Friday, March 1.
