Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall was the stand-out performer as Championship leaders Leicester moved 10 points clear of the chasing pack.

The midfielder – a £30million-rated transfer target of Brighton – opened the scoring in a clash sealed by Stephy Mavididi’s second-half penalty and a goal soon after from substitute Yunus Akgun.

Dewsbury-Hall struck in the third minute after Leicester goalkeeper Mads Hermansen had denied Jerry Yates a shock Swansea opener.

Patson Daka, back following Zambia’s Africa Cup of Nations exit, back-heeled through Nathan Wood’s legs to send Dewsbury-Hall through unimpeded.

The Foxes spurned other chances before the break, including Daka’s failure to hit the target from four yards.

Dewsbury-Hall was guilty of a similar miss early in the second period before Mavididi made sure of the points from the spot in the 69th minute after Wood had brought Daka down.
