Baltimore Earns Third-Straight Win After Big Game from Araujo

Baltimore Blast Set Season-High in Goals with 11-3 Win Over Harrisburg Heat

TOWSON, Md. (January 13, 2024) – The Baltimore Blast utilized a big performance from Raphael Araujo to down the Harrisburg Heat, 5-3, and pick up the team’s third-straight win.

Raphael Araujo opened the game’s scoring with a goal after Oumar Sylla sent the ball into the box, but a couple of minutes later, a similar goal occurred on the other end, with Roshawn Panton scoring off Danny DiPrima’s assist.


There was no more scoring for the rest of the quarter, and the teams ended the first quarter tied at one goal.

Nearly five minutes into the second quarter, Baltimore’s Jairo Guevara scored off a shot that rolled along the board and snuck in behind the keeper. But again, it only took a few minutes before Danny DiPrima evened up the game with a boot from the right side of the field. Harrisburg tied the game, 2-2.

With less than five minutes remaining in the half, Victor Parreiras sent the ball to Tony Donatelli on a free kick, and the quick shot found its way to the back of the net.

Baltimore took a 3-2 lead into halftime, a lower-scoring game than Dec. 29’s 13-4 Blast win over Harrisburg.

Araujo netted his second goal of the game after Jereme Raley drew the goalkeeper in and sent it across the box.

The score gave Baltimore a 4-2 lead. With just over a minute remaining in the third, Juan Pereira extended the Blast lead to three goals after the assist from Ozzy Annang.

The two goals late in the third quarter gave Baltimore a 5-2 lead heading into the final frame.

Harrisburg scored its first goal of the second half with under five minutes remaining in the game. On a free kick, Dominic Francis found Malcolm Harris for the goal

No more goals were scored throughout the game, and Baltimore defeated Harrisburg.
